Teagan Cosson is a Registered Nurse and Care Coordinator with a passion for patient advocacy and personalised, integrated care. As a Care Coordinator at Biio, she expertly guides patients through their healthcare journey, connecting them with appropriate practitioners and creating integrated treatment plans tailored to their unique needs.
Teagan's approach to care coordination is deeply empathetic, drawing on her understanding of what it means to navigate a healthcare system that often struggles to address invisible illnesses. She finds profound meaning in offering hope and direction to those who have felt lost in their symptoms or let down by previous healthcare experiences. Working collaboratively with clients, she guides them in their healthcare journey while ensuring they never feel alone.
Teagan is deeply passionate about supporting those suffering with dysautonomia, Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome, ME/CFS, and long-COVID. Her experience in hospital cardiology wards has fostered a particular interest in POTS, orthostatic intolerance, and cardiac dysautonomia presentations.
Her understanding and approach to dysautonomia is holistic and practical, recognizing that effective care requires both immediate symptom relief and sustainable recovery strategies. She believes in providing patients with concrete, actionable tools—beyond just rest and pacing—that create meaningful improvements in daily functioning. Teagan expertly balances short-term interventions that offer much-needed relief with evidence-based rehabilitation approaches that build toward long-term recovery, understanding that practical symptom management often creates the foundation for deeper healing and rehabilitation.
Having practiced in girls' high school environments and navigated her own personal journey with debilitating pelvic pain, Teagan brings a nuanced understanding to women's health, pelvic pain and hormonal challenges. Also recognising the disproportionate prevalence of dysautonomia and POTS in young women, Teagan understands the complex interplay between female hormones, stress, trauma, and autonomic dysfunction.
As a care coordinator for pelvic pain and women's health patients, she works closely with Biio's multidisciplinary team to develop comprehensive treatment plans that address both physical symptoms and emotional wellbeing. Her insight into the interconnected nature of these conditions allows her to create more effective, holistic care plans. Teagan is skilled at connecting patients with appropriate specialists, providing education about self-management strategies, and offering compassionate support throughout the treatment journey.
Teagan is particularly passionate about veterans' care, drawing on her experience as both a veteran herself and her work in rehabilitation case management for the Australian Defence Force. During her time supporting rehabilitation patients in the Australian Army, she developed expertise in care planning, telehealth, and the complexities of Defence rehabilitation, ensuring seamless, tailored support for each individual.
Teagan understands the unique physical and mental health needs of veterans, including the challenges of transitioning to civilian life, managing service-related injuries, and accessing appropriate healthcare services. Her military background allows her to connect with veteran patients on a deeper level, providing culturally competent care that acknowledges their service experience and specific health concerns.
