Our four pillars, for chronic and complex care

Tailored Care Teams

We assemble a tailored team of 1-3 clinicians, bridging divisions between specialties to address each patient's specific needs.
↪ Multi-system problems > multi-pronged solutions

Integrated Lifestyle Medicine

We integrate lifestyle interventions, self-management and mental wellbeing as core components of our treatment plans.
↪ Habit change takes work. We're prepared to do it

Coordinated Care

Personal case managers ensure seamless care coordination, limiting costs and offering a consistent touchpoint for every patient.
↪ Your patient is never left unsupported

Clinical Rigour

We ground our approach in best practices, combining innovative strategies with timeless practices for holistic, but scientifically sound, care.
↪ Proven treatments, not trends

We all have patients we're unsure where to send—that's why we exist.

When symptoms persist despite frontline treatments. When symptoms affect the body and mind. When behaviour change is needed to achieve real results.
That's when Biio offers hope.

The patient journey.
Always supported.

What does a typical care team look like?

A care team at biio consists of 1-3 clinicians tailored to the patient's specific needs and goals. The team will look entirely different, case to case. A female patient with endometriosis may be connected with a pelvic physiotherapist and a pain specialist, while a male with metabolic syndrome may be connected to a dietitian, physiotherapist and/or endocrinologist.

Our wonderful case managers also sit central in the care team, providing ongoing support, monitoring progress, and acting as a consistent point of contact throughout the patient's care journey.

This multi-disciplinary approach allows biio to address complex, multi-system health problems with a coordinated and integrated care strategy. The team works together to provide a holistic treatment plan that combines medical interventions, lifestyle modifications, and therapeutic modalities tailored to each patient's unique situation.

What do care coordinators do?

We understand that navigating the complexities of chronic health conditions can be overwhelming for patients. That's why we've made personal case management a cornerstone of our practice. Here's how our dedicated care coordinators ensure you receive seamless, personalised care throughout your wellness journey.

  1. Patient Advocacy: Primary contact and personal health advocate for patients
  2. Care Coordination: Orchestrate communication between clinicians and external providers
  3. Health Literacy: Equip patients with personalised knowledge and tools for informed self-management
  4. Progress Monitoring: Conduct check-ins and ensure care plans evolve with patient needs
  5. System Navigation: Guide through Medicare, insurance, and other funding options
  6. Cost Optimisation: Develop strategies for cost-effective, results-driven care
What do care coordinators cost the patient?

Absolutely nothing! Okay.... that's nearly true. We'll need a little of their time, and a collaborative spirit, but otherwise, we offer case management completely free of charge.

Do you offer telemedicine appointments?

As a hybrid practice, we've wholeheartedly adopted digital health technologies, both to expand our reach and to elevate our quality of care.

Many of our practitioners are available in-person, in our Perth practice; while others work remotely, from all corners of Australia, supporting our patients via telemedicine.

We offer video appointments, via our bespoke digital health platform, Biiography, to patients Australia-wide.

Who are biio's typical patients?

biio's patients are individuals typically aged 16-60 who are grappling with persistent, complex health issues. These health-conscious individuals are often balancing demands in their personal and professional lives, but find their potential limited by ongoing health challenges.

They come from diverse backgrounds - all sharing the common thread of balancing significant life responsibilities with chronic health concerns. These individuals find themselves frustrated and sometimes defeated by their health struggles.

biio patients are proactive and informed about their health. They've typically explored various treatments, consulted multiple healthcare providers, and leveraged technology in their quest for answers.

These individuals value quality care and are willing to invest time and resources into their health. They're open to lifestyle changes and integrative approaches, understanding that true wellness encompasses physical, mental, and social well-being. They seek a healthcare partner who will listen deeply, understand their unique situation, and collaborate with them on their journey to lasting wellness.

Above all, biio patients are ready for change. They're tired of feeling misunderstood and are eager for a clear path forward.
