What to Expect

Step One: POTS Diagnostic Protocol with Integrative Physiotherapist, Caitlin McPhee

• 60-minute Integrative Care Assessment
• NASA Lean Test (10-minute Standing Test)
• Malmö POTS Score Assessment
• Systematic evaluation against diagnostic criteria
• Development of your personalised integrative care plan
• Thorough documentation and reporting
• Care coordination and referral management

If a preliminary postural orthostatic tachycardia diagnosis is indicated during this appointment, you'll proceed to step two.

Step Two: Cardiac Investigations with Nurse Practitioner, Caitlin Smith

• 24hr Holter Test: We'll fit you with a cardiac Holter monitor that you'll wear for 24 hours, and return to the practice for the data to be analysed (Holter tests are subject to device availability. If a device is available, we'll fit you straight away. If not, we'll book a convenient time within 1-2 weeks for you to do the test).
• Referral to our partner cardiologist if needed to rule out other possible underlying causes of your tachycardia
• Referral for pathology if needed to rule out other possible causes of your symptoms

• $100 out-of-pocket for your 24 Holter Test (if needed)
• $68.20 out-of-pocket for your Cardiac Assessment appointment with our nurse practitioner (Medicare Rebate: $73.80. Total Fee: $142)
• ECG tests are provided at no additional cost
