12 weeks of personalised therapy to heal nervous system dysregulation, hypervigilance and trauma.

The program

Available Australia-wide, Downregulate is a digital program helping individuals restore their nervous system's natural ability to regulate stress responses.

Over twelve weeks, participants learn evidence-based strategies for nervous system regulation and resilience building, supported by Senior Clinical Psychologist Valentina Dragicevic and her expertise in autonomic nervous system recovery.

Concise and frequent sessions combine active therapeutic interventions with personalised integration support, ensuring new regulation strategies become natural habits that serve you long-term.

Our digital format makes the program accessible and sustainable—from the comfort of your home, anywhere in Australia.

If you're ready to move from surviving to thriving, this is your invitation to rediscover peace.

Who is the Downregulate program for?

Downregulate is designed to support individuals experiencing nervous system dysregulation, particularly those with:

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder

If you're living with PTSD or trauma-related symptoms, our program offers a gentle, neuroscience-informed approach to help your nervous system recognise safety again. We understand trauma's impact on the autonomic nervous system and provide practical tools for recovery.

Post-Viral Symptoms & Chronic Fatigue

Living with long COVID, chronic fatigue syndrome/ME, or post-viral fatigue can leave your nervous system stuck in a state of high alert. Our program helps restore balance and build resilience as you navigate recovery.

Autonomic Symptoms

Downregulate is particularly beneficial for those with dysautonomia, POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome), or other conditions affecting autonomic nervous system function. We focus on supporting your system to find more stable self-regulation.

Chronic Stress & Anxiety

If you're experiencing generalised anxiety, panic symptoms, burnout, or chronic stress, our program offers practical tools to help your nervous system find its way back to calm.

Sensory Sensitivities

Whether you're dealing with sensory processing sensitivity, sensory overwhelm, or conditions like misophonia or hyperacusis, we'll help you develop practical strategies to manage sensory input and reduce overwhelm.

Pain Syndrome

For those experiencing fibromyalgia, complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS), or other pain conditions with autonomic features, our program offers tools to help regulate the nervous system's response to pain.

Sleep Difficulties

If you're struggling with sleep onset, hyperarousal at bedtime, or disrupted sleep patterns, our program helps retrain your nervous system to access states of rest more easily.

Any questions?

Do you offer a telehealth option?

Yes, the program is 100% online and accessible anywhere in Australia.

Each week includes a 15 to 60 minutes—depending on your nervous system's unique needs and tolerances—of active therapy, split between two sessions, which can be scheduled at a time convenient for you.

Is the program covered by private health insurance?

If you have extras cover, you may be eligible for rebates on your sessions using the item code for clinical psychology. We recommend checking with your health fund to confirm your specific coverage.

What technology do I need to participate?

We'll provide detailed instructions on how to join the sessions and use the program materials.

How is this different from regular therapy?

While traditional therapy often focuses primarily on talking through experiences, Downregulate combines neurophysiological intervention (Safe and Sound Protocol) with practical regulation strategies. This dual approach helps retrain your nervous system's stress response while giving you concrete tools for daily life.

Is there any follow-up support after the program?

Yes, your final session includes creating a detailed maintenance plan. We also offer follow-up sessions as needed to support your continued progress and help you adapt strategies as your needs change.

What if I need to miss a session?

We understand that life can be unpredictable. If you need to reschedule a session, we require 24 hours notice where possible. We'll work with you to find an alternative time that suits your schedule.

How soon can I expect to see results?

While everyone's journey is different, most participants begin noticing subtle shifts in their stress response within the first few weeks. These changes often become more pronounced as you progress through the program and continue practicing the regulation strategies.
